“Kemper made and then killed what was one of the best digital synths ever made – the Access Virus synth. I still have a Virus TI2. He decided to throw his weight into the modelers and amps. You still see the Access synths in the wild. They remain hugely popular, harder to get now, and if you have a problem … well, you have a problem. He just stopped making updates for it, and these synths were about $3500. So, the updates stopped, and they stopped communicating with the users.”
